Frequently Asked Questions And Answers about Shipping

When you place an order we will estimate delivery dates based upon the availability of your item(s), shipping method selected and your shipment’s destination. Our shipping charges are determined by the total dollar amount of your order, excluding applicable sales tax. Some products cannot be shipped to international destinations so please submit a message to us from the Contact Us page if you would like to discuss international ordering options.

How is my order shipped?

All orders are shipped via USPS, UPS or FedEx.

When will my order arrive?

Most orders are baked and packed, to order.  Some bulk products or discount items may be baked prior to the day that they are shipped. Generally we ship Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for arrival Tuesday through Friday. Although we try to ship orders out quickly, we are not always able to get your order out on the day it is actually placed.  You will receive an email notification when your order is received, and when it is shipped.

Does someone have to sign for the package?

No, unless you request specifically at time of order, you do not need to be available to sign for the package.

If I choose overnight delivery, do I pay additional shipping?

Yes, if you select overnight delivery you will be charged the overnight shipping charge to your location, including sales tax in North Carolina.

Will I be notified when my order is shipped?

Yes, UPS will send an e-mail notification to the email address you provided with your order.

I ordered but did not receive my confirmation email. What happened?

It may have been blocked by your spam filter or have been delivered to your junk mail folder. Check those items and add orders@smokymountaindog.com and orders@smokymountaindogbakery.com to your safer senders list.
